There are quite a few "sins" in the Satanic religion (according to LaVey), but the greatest is stupidity, followed by solipsism. Stupidity and ignorance, however, are two completely different ballfields, and LaVey makes this very clear-- Satanists cannot afford to be stupid. Neither can they afford to engage in solipsism, the act of blindly believing that everyone else in the world thinks and, therefore, behaves the same way that they do. To avoid engaging in this, many Satanists hold tightly to one of LaVey's Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth that says, "Do not give advice or opinions unless you are asked". This keeps both solipsism AND stupidity from becoming rampant in a Satanist's life, as they are, as I previously said, the two greatest Satanic sins.
