Whatever the creature was, it was slimy and immeasureably BIG. By the time Jacob got there it was already stuffing a shaking high heel into it's deep mouth, dripping profusly all over the ground it stood on. Deep, deep inside his dead chest Jacob shudderd, thoughts of that monster guzzling down his lover, tugging the chains of the beast within. It gripped the bars of his sole tightly, wispering in pleas, cursing in anger, the breeze filled with the scent of blood and...he cought on a second breath, fear. "BeAst" he spat out as he rushed forward across the pale grass, every muscle tightening, the monster inside him jumping for joy, his fangs glistening. The Slimeball turned in time to catch him in the middle of a leap, coating Jacob in smelly sludge from a sewer. it gurgled in his face before slapping him about, sending him crashing into a granite headstone that cracked under the force.
Jacob rose uneasily, his hair falling in curls across his face, hiding his eyes from teh beasts foul gaze. Jacob had been around longer than he cared for, longer perhaps than many that still walked the earth under the moons gaze. But without Lucy.....
His demeanor changed, his stance casting over and becomeing more animalistic, his fingers, like talons ripped the gore coverd blazer from his body as he silently beckoned for battle. So deeply emmerged, he never noticed the stealthy feminin form silently watching from behind a tree, the short steel blade clasped readily in her grip. Again he charged, but with a deadly control he lacked before. Monster versus monster, the slime creature lurched forward to meet him and a it struck, he suddenly swung away, missing it by inchs. it swooped up angrily, exposeing it's girth as Jacob had hoped. and channled with teh fury of an ageless monster he plunged his fist deeply into it's chest, clasing the little ruby within. Again it belted him, casting him back, but not without his prize. Looking at the nearest stone he smashed the ruby down upon it, fracturing the gem into a million sharp shards and dust. the spell broken the creature oozed to a halt before collapsing in upon itsleff, casting it's hand outwards to a form Jacob could not see. The monster he had realised was nothing more than a Gollum, a beast of dirt controld and brought to life by a crystal of power, and thus hecame upon it's achillies heel.
