I finally saw it and I thought it was great. It was good in everyway, story, action, and all. It was equally good to the first two. I can't believe none of you thought of "Hey, maybe it's not the finale! Maybe there is still another to come." Because, that's what I thought. There was too much left unsaid... They may have said it's the final in the series, but I don't think so. Matrix Revolutions is like Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back. There will be a sequel.
I think Garg will probably agree with me here. He gave that one post with the explanations... If the movie needed a "1000 explanations" it didn't suck, it was just ending the movie to leave you in wonder and wanting to know what will be next. All those explanations give you that rise in anxiety and curiousity so that you'll be craving to know which one is the right one.
What I wonder is what the fuck was that face thing that Neo talked to at the end? My idea is that it is like the "central conscience" of the machines. Kinda like the Borg, in Star Trek, have a central conscience.
Anywho... a great movie, in my opinion. I guess I'm gonna have to wait another year or two to see if there is another sequel... then I'll wait for the box set. That'll be a sign as to if there will or will not be a sequel is if a box set with the original Matrix through Revolutions comes out. If it doesn't and there is no word about a boxset... That most probably explanation is that there's more to come. "Sometimes when I feel like killing someone, I do a little trick to calm myself down. I'll go over to the person's house and ring the doorbell. When the person comes to the door, I'm gone, but you know what I've left on the porch? A jack-o-lantern with a knife in the side of it's head with a note that says "You." After that, I usually feel a lot better, and no harm done."
