In a way that comes as a surprise, and in a way that's expected. They've become more and more radical, driving their conservative views further into their religious views; and just trying to have complete control in favor of their rich croonies. Abraham Lincoln's republican party was originally what we now have as the Democratic party, but it was stolen away in some mixed up switch of things.
I've thought for awhile now, that the average working middle/lower class men and woman need to literally revolt. This country was built on the ideals of supporting your fellow man, not screwing him over, sending him to the poor house and pocketing the cash.
Bush would never respond to Nader though, he's a coward, that was apparent when he stayed back during Nam in the Army Reserves (and he'd probably jumble his words as always). He'll represent something, but he won't stand up for it.
