*She transversed down the road, her toes trailing a few centimetres from the ground itself. She had her hands clasped behind her back in a girlish pose. Her plae white blond hair spilled over her shoulders and down to the small of her back.*
*Children gasped at her form, wide-eyed in fright. She giggled and waved, floating on past them as they ran away.*
*The tattered edges of her skirt dragged on the ground but never seemed to get dirty. The dusty color of the skirt and the tight corset indicated to previously white splendor, but was now a dull greyed color. Her pale, frosty green eyes spotted a building she had never noticed before, and she eagerly shifted her path to approach it.*
*After a quick appraisal of the building, she found the exterior boring, having only one door, and no windows to peek through. She hovered in front of the door, and with a small shrug-like gesture moved to pass through it.*
*As her face smacked into the door, she let out a small gasp.*
Now this is odd...
*She murmured, and pressed her palm flat against the door. She was shocked and wordless. This had never happened before, she'd always been able to pass through solid objects as if they had no mass. It was her right as a ghost.*
*Determined, she grasped the knob tightly in her hand, still astonished, feeling the texture on her fingertips. She swung the door open and stepped down onto the floor, in case her floating ability was also canceled out by this odd building.*
*She giggled at the interior; it was as if she'd stepped into a fun house. Everything was brightly colored and bold. The furniture was huge, and she sank into the carpet up to her ankles. She skipped over to a chair and reached up, hauling herself onto the oversized seat. She continued to giggle as she sunk into the soft material.* |
